G.S.E.T: Room to improve

The new David Banner album "Greatest Story Ever Told" was a mystery to me. I had no clue what to expect from it and to be honest the only david banner song i really felt was enjoyable was "cadillacs on 22's". I was a little hesitant as i felt dissappointed by some of his recent beats. Going through the album I did not feel it was great by any means but i didnt feel dissapointed, most likey because i did not have previous greatness to compare it to. I felt Mr. Banner has very strong opinons as evident from his monologues, however his lyrical flow and word choice is lack luster at best. I dont fel this album has any real standout tracks, the singles "9mm" and "Get like Me" are decent besides that the only other track i would replay are "Faith" and "So Long". In the end I have to say i feel there is potential perhaps Mr. Banner should take his own advice, its okay to leave the money and sex references out of some songs talk about more relavent subjects. ~R.Esquire
